Night curtains

An evening layer with a considered finish.

Night curtain describes the more opaque closing layer. Dimout and blackout are fabric or lining choices within that layer. S-fold, double pleat and eyelet are separate heading-design decisions.

Decide how dark you need it

For a living room, evening privacy may be enough. For a light-sensitive bedroom, discuss blackout cloth and the gaps around the installation.

Choose the surface you see

Look at weave, sheen, pattern scale and the way the cloth falls. These qualities make a larger visual difference than a colour swatch alone.

Coordinate the two layers

Check that the sheer and night curtain can move independently and that the tracks clear handles, air-conditioning and furniture.

How we would style it: Textured neutrals blend into a calm home; lustrous weaves and stronger pattern create a more expressive frame.

Questions about night curtains

Are all night curtains blackout?

No. The night layer can use dimout cloth, blackout cloth or a face fabric with a separate lining.

Do dark colours block more light?

Colour alone does not establish blackout performance. The construction, lining and installation matter.
