Eyelet / grommet curtains

Let the rod become part of the design.

Eyelet curtains hang from rings set into the top of the fabric and move along a suitable pole. The visible rod and ring finish become part of the room’s design. Eyelets are a heading choice, independent of fabric opacity.

Keep the pole proportionate

Choose its diameter, finish and supports for the curtain weight and span. Allow room above the window for the rings and folds.

Account for light at the top

Eyelets need clearance above the pole. Discuss this route for light if the room requires a blackout objective.

Check opening movement

Centre supports can restrict travel on some pole arrangements. Confirm how the panels will open and where they will rest.

How we would style it: Visible hardware can echo metal finishes in lamps or furniture; a bold fabric can make the window a deliberate accent.

Questions about eyelet / grommet curtains

Do eyelet curtains use the same track as S-fold?

No. Eyelets ordinarily run on a suitable pole; an S-fold arrangement uses its compatible track and heading system.

Can an eyelet curtain use blackout cloth?

Yes, but the ring and pole arrangement can leave light paths above the curtain. Discuss the full installation.
