How much does on-site curtain steam cleaning cost?
Elegant Seal charges from $180 to steam clean one room and one hall in a single layer, rising to $520 for four rooms and one hall in two layers. Standard packages apply to curtain heights below 300 cm, and most visits are completed within three hours.

THE METHOD
Two layers.
Two treatments.
A day curtain and a night curtain do not soil in the same way, so they are not treated in the same way.
Day curtains
Hot steaming, worked panel by panel while the curtain stays on its track.
Night curtains
Hot steaming and vacuuming, so loosened dust is drawn away rather than left in the weave.
Every quotation follows a fabric assessment. Some fabrics and coatings cannot be washed, dry cleaned or steamed at all, so we check the care label and the construction before recommending a method.
Steaming applies heat and moisture to suitable cloth. It is not the same as laundering, solvent dry cleaning or hot-water extraction, and it does not repair a cracked blackout backing or sun-damaged fabric.

Heat and moisture do the work. Nothing corrosive is applied to your fabric, and there is no detergent residue to rinse out.
Cleaned without removal
Curtains stay on the track, so there is no takedown, no re-hanging and no gap at your windows.
Usually under 3 hours
Most standard packages are completed within three hours on site. Larger homes and high ceilings take longer.
Ventilated drying
We plan airflow around the room and keep the folds open until the fabric is fully dry.

How much does curtain cleaning cost in Singapore?
Elegant Seal charges $15 per kilogram for curtains. On-site steam cleaning is sold as packages from $180 for one room and one hall. No GST is added.
Should I choose dry cleaning or on-site steam cleaning?
Dry cleaning suits curtains that are soiled through the cloth, hold odour or have not been cleaned for a long time, because the panels are cleaned off site. On-site steam cleaning suits suitable fabrics that need refreshing without the inconvenience of taking them down. We recommend one after assessing the fabric.
How long does curtain dry cleaning take?
Dry cleaning takes 5 to 7 days from collection to re-installation. Tell us in advance if you have a date to work around.
How is the $15 per kilogram price calculated?
Curtains are priced by weight rather than by panel, because the weight reflects the fabric and the size. Panels are weighed when we collect them and we confirm the final price with you before cleaning begins.
Can every curtain be cleaned?
No. Some coated blackout fabrics prohibit steam cleaning and dry cleaning entirely, and some linings, trims and decorative details need a different method from the face fabric. We check the care label and the construction first, and we will tell you when a curtain should not be treated.
Do I have to take my curtains down?
Not for on-site steam cleaning — the curtains stay on the track. For dry cleaning we can remove and re-hang them for you, or you can do it yourself and receive an additional 20% off the cleaning price, subject to a minimum order of $100.
What happens if my ceiling is higher than 3 metres?
For dry cleaning, curtains carry an additional $3 per kilogram for every metre above 3 metres. For on-site steam cleaning, add 50% for every metre above 300 cm, and homes with high ceilings are quoted after a site visit because the access method changes with the height.
Will cleaning remove every stain?
No. Steam and dry cleaning address soiling, dust and odour, but an old, set or treated stain may not lift completely, and neither method repairs a cracked blackout backing or sun-damaged fabric. We will tell you what to expect before you commit.
How far in advance should I book?
Book on-site steam cleaning at least 3 working days ahead. For dry cleaning, allow 5 to 7 days for the cleaning itself on top of the collection date.
Do you clean Roman blinds?
Roman blinds are $38 per piece. Send photos of the blind and its mechanism so we can confirm what can be done before collection.
